I am a longtime coffee drinker. I've been drinking coffee for over two decades. I'm also autistic and really like a good morning routine.
Every morning is pretty much the same.
I let the dogs outside.
I take my histamine prescriptions with a glass of water.
I make my bed. I brush my teeth and my hair.
And then I make my coffee.
It's been the same routine for a very long time. Recently, though... say, since March... I've had a lot of anxiety. A lot a lot. (I'm absolutely certain I'm not the only one.) I've been having panic attacks and breathing problems. The breathing problems freaked me out which led to more panic attacks. It was a vicious cycle.
So, I decided to nix the caffeine. And it has really helped. I haven't had a full-blown panic attack in months.
I've never been one of those people who prided myself on how much caffeine I could handle, anyway. In fact, I'm the opposite. The only way I like to speed up my heart is with cardio.
Sharing coffee memes is fine. It's funny. But I've seen people openly scoff at other people's coffee orders and that shit isn't cool.
My point is, let people have their decaf.
