The Bees Aren't the Only Busy Bodies

I am also busy as a bee. I've had to get on a real schedule this week, as opposed to our homeschool schedule. When you homeschool your children in Tennessee there is no set curriculum, but they are still required to do state testing every two years. My son is doing that this week--which means I have to get up early every day to make sure he gets there on time. It's a sucky schedule, but it's only every other year so I can't complain too much.

I have a growth in the left side of my thyroid. There's a 50% chance it is cancer or something like that. On a scale of 1 to 6, 1 being benign and 6 being cancerous, the growth is a 3. So, the safest bet is to just remove the left side of my thyroid. I have surgery in less than two weeks.

Buuuuuttt... the husband and I bought a 16 foot above ground pool a few months ago. (It was on sale.) We have to level the ground before we can set it up. And I want that done BEFORE surgery so that I don't have to worry about it later. So all of that work has to be done this weekend!

Two weeks after I recover from surgery I'm driving out to the desert to see my mom. I like to go out to see her at least once a year. I have to do it now, because I have the kids all summer, and I start college again in the Fall. Plus, the desert is prettiest in the Spring.

As soon as I get back from the dessert I'll be setting everything up for the Pop Art Shop. Oh! I picked dates! The Art Shop is going to open on June 4th and stay open through June 11th. On June 12th and 13th I'll process and package all orders and ship them out the following Monday.

See? I'm a busy bee! How is your spring time turning out? Are you busy, too, or are you using your springtime to relax?
